A Certificate III in Hospitality (Housekeeping) is designed to reflect the role of hospitality employees who work in accommodation operations and are required to maintain the enterprises cleaning standards. Completion of this qualification could lead to any of the following positions:
- Room attendant.
- Public area cleaner
- House person

- Follow health, safety & security procedures
- Develop & update hospitality industry knowledge
- Follow workplace hygiene procedures
- Communicate on the telephone
- Promote products & services to customers
- Deal with conflict situations
- Coach others in job skills
- Provide housekeeping services to guests
- Establish & maintain a safe & secure workplace
- Maintain soft floor
- Wash & squeegee glass surfaces to remove all visible dirt & grime
- Plan for safe & efficient cleaning activities
- Clean premises & equipment
- Maintain wet areas in an odour free, soil & hazard free condition
- Remove stains & spillages from soft floors
- Control & order stock
- Receive & store stock
- Prepare rooms for guests
- Provide lost & found facility
